We had an exciting day today. Jacob brought his rat in for share today, and we all got to learn about how he (or his mom) takes care of his rat Dorrie. He has to feed her, and water her, and give her baths, and clean her cage. Sounds like a lot of work!!! We also learned about how we always wash our hands after we touch animals....
And then Jacob let us hold her, it was so much fun! We all had an opportunity to hold Dorrie, and she was very good at letting us hold her! Then we washed our hands! *oh, the kids at the end belong to me, we don't have new students in the class! My boys had lunch with me today, and of course wanted to hold the rat!*
But we were in for a surprise at the end of the day! Mrs. Owen's daughter, Miss Evelyn was at school today, and she brought two geckos with her! She was so kind to come into our class and teach us all about her two geckos. What fun!!! Thank you Miss Evelyn for coming and visiting our class!
