Brooklynne Visits our Class!

Brooklynne is my precious niece who was born last month. A couple of weeks ago my sister was able to come into class and bring Brooklynne along. The kids got to ask Anna some questions about Brooklynne, and they all got to see how tiny she is! We had a lot of fun....Thanks Anna for letting us check out your precious baby!!!

Our Dr. Seuss Party

Can I tell you how much I LOVE our Dr. Seuss birthday party every year? That man is inspirational, if you haven't read his books lately, I would encourage you to read them....books like Yertle the Turtle and Oh the Places You'll Go, Sneeches and both the Horton books. He was an amazing writer and conveyed such important messages through wonderful childrens books. You may be able to tell I am a big fan.
So we have a birthday party for him, to celebrate his legacy, and well, to have fun! And I think we succeeded at that! The Pre-Kers joined us for our party, and we were so glad they came! A big thank you to all of you parents who helped make this possible by helping and bringing in snacks!!!
Our fantastic "cake" was made by Mrs. Bradway, it is so cute!!!

The kids, enraptured by Ms. Vee's "Yertle the Turtle"

Ms. Vee read us Yertle the Turtle while her mom, Mrs. Bradway drew a wonderful drawing to go along with the picture. I just LOVE watching her draw and paint to books and we are so thankful that she was willing to do that for us!

Snacks, snacks, snacks!
And LOTS of precious kid pictures!!!!

YUM!!!!

Eating some YUMMY food!!!

My precious Thing 1 and Thing 2.....(and boy did they live up to their roles!!!)
MMMM Green Eggs and Ham! thanks Jennifer!!!

Is Elliot going to be brave enough to try some Green Eggs and Ham?
Yes!!! And it looks like he enjoyed it!!!

And we ended the party reading "Sneeches", one of my personal favorite Dr. Seuss books.
I had my Sneech stuffed animal help me read the story!
Once again, thank you to all who came and helped and to everyone who brought things in, we appreciate you so much!!!
