Costumes, costumes everywhere!!!

Puppets, costumes, always fun!

Bugs, bugs and more bugs!

We LOVE bugs in Mrs. Mason's classroom.....Love, love, love them! I absolutely adore boys and their fascination with all things living, because somehow I got that same fascination, and it is just SO MUCH FUN!!!!! Anyway, my son and his aunt caught a Praying Mantis the other day, so he graciously let me take it to my classroom (after it went to his classroom first, of course!) and we got to examine the bug, and then figure out why they call it a Praying Mantis! And, of course, at every recess we must find any bugs we can, worms, slugs, all sorts of crawly bugs....FUN!!!

Centers!

We have fun in centers! We have centers 3 times a week, and everyone has a partner. Because we have an odd number in our class, one group has three instead of two. We have so much fun. Beads (above) are one of our centers

And Computers! Always a favorite!

Kitchen....I do love imaginative play!

Playdough letters!

Listening!

Dough Letters!

Every Monday morning, first thing in the morning, we make Dough letters. What a fun combination of learning our letters, using our fine motor skills, and eating yummy food! Who said you can't eat the alphabet! Well, as I'm sure you've figured out, this past Monday was the letter Aa, and your kids did a great job of rolling out their letters, making them into Aa's, putting them on their pans (and then Mrs. Mason sprinkles a tiny bit of cinnamon and sugar!), and walking over to the kitchen to bake them! After recess we did the funnest part, we got to eat our letters! What a great start to our week!

Lined up, ready to go bake our Dough Letters!

YUMMMM!!!

We all ate them!

Making Cookies!

We invited Miss Keener's class over on Friday, August 13th to make some chocolate chip cookies with us. They were SO GOOD and all of the kindergarteners did a great job of mixing the dough and putting the cookies on the tray! The best part of it was we got to eat the cookies once they were baked, YAY!!!! We had a great time making and eating our cookies!

James and Juhwan, doing a great job making cookies!
